Annie was a junior at Oklahoma State University in 2003-2004
In 2002, which was the year when her golf reached a new
height, she became the first female from Utah to capture a
USGA championship when she won the Women's Amateur Public
Links title.
Rated a spirited, never-say-die competitor, she qualified
for the match-play stages at the 2002 and 2003 US women's
championships, making the last 16 last year. Also qualified
for the 2003 US Women's Open but missed the cut. Earned an
honourable mention in the All-American team choice for
2002-2003. Finished 19th in last year's NCAA championship.
Last July, Annie became the first player in eight years
to win the Utah State women's title two years in a row. She
won by 12 strokes with a level par total over 54 holes.
Also a talented basketball player in her teens, Annie was
the 5ft 3in point guard for three years at Lone Park High
and led her team to the state championship game.
