(lady captain in 2000). Captained Great Britain & Ireland to victory in last year's Vagliano Trophy match against the Continent of Europe at County Louth - GB&I's first win in the series since 1993. Previously captain of GB&I team in world amateur team championship 2002. Also captained Ireland junior teams 1999-2000.

Highlights of playing career - Ada represented Ireland from 1980 (junior level) and from 1982 (senior level) to 1997 - were winning the Irish stroke-play title in 1987 and the European Masters championship in 1994.

Does not walk under ladders and has lucky tee marker holder since her 21st birthday. Likes gardening, watching rugby, walking and driving, listening to Abba, Neil Diamond. Director of electrical retail company.
