Played for GB&I in the Vagliano Trophy matches of 1999
and 2003 and for Britain in the Commonwealth tournaments the
same years. Anne has been a Scotland women's team player
since 1995. She has played in the final of the Scottish women's
championship four times, winning the title in 1996 and 2003
and being runner-up in 1999 and 2002. In 1996 she also won
the St Rule Trophy tournament. She won the British
mid-amateur championship in 2002. She retained the
Scottish title at Prestwick in May. A keen schools athlete at the time, she became hooked on
golf when her father David introduced her to golf at the age
of 14 years although she did not play competitively until
she was 16. A graduate of Edinburgh University, where she
gained a Blue for sports achievements, Anne is a lecturer in
sports coaching at Elmwood College, Cupar.
Her lowest ever score has been an eight under-par at
Dumfries & Galloway. Her only golfing superstition is the
wearing of a white glove (a must!).
Anne likes to listen to music (all types), going out with
friends, going to the cinema and art & design. |
