Alison Nicholas presents 2009 Vagliano Trophy Team with International Badges
2009 Solheim Cup Captain Alison Nicholas presented the 2009 GB & I Team with their International Badges at a special ceremony at Portmarnock Links today.The 2009 GB & I Team will compete in the 2009 AIB Irish Open and practice at 2011 Solheim Cup venue Killeen Castle to prepare them for this year's Vagliano Trophy which will be played in July.
2009 Vagliano Captain Mary McKenna said "The team is brilliant! The players are really enjoying themselves and we have had a fantastic practice round here at Portmarnock. This is an excellant opportunity for the girls to test themselves against the best".
This year's Vagliano Trophy will take place at Hamburger Golf Club on 24 and 25 July and will feature seven new caps. The only returning caps are Sally Watson and Jodi Ewart.
