The Final of the Peugeot Coronation Foursomes was contested on Monday 19th September over the testing Jubilee Course, St. Andrews.
The 11 winning pairs from the Area Finals and their guests enjoyed a taste of the Home of Golf's hospitality before battling it out in testing conditions on one of St. Andrew's most difficult courses.
Stoke Rochford pairing of Norma Varley and Sheila Dugmore eventually triumphed with an excellant score of 36 pts. Second place went to the Vale of Glamorgan pairing of Karen James and Hazel Daniel on 35 pts, with Dorothy Ford & Anna Paterson (Scotscraig) finishing in 3rd place on 33 pts.
The winning pair can now look forward to teeing up with one of the world's leading Professionals at the Weetabix Womens' British Open Pro-Am at Royal Lytham & St. Annes on Wednesday 2nd August 2006.

2005 is the third year in succession that Peugeot has sponsored this competition. In 2005 34,350 members at 1,364 clubs participated in this hugely popular competition.
All clubs holding a Qualifying Round were entered into a prize draw and the winning club from each country received an exclusive ladies' golf shirt and sweater for members of the club ladies' team. The winners were England - Highwoods Golf Club, Scotland - Alloa Golf Club and Wales - Whitchurch (Cardiff) Golf Club - Congratulations!
