Martine Pow wins the 2006 Ladies' British Open Mid-Amateur Championship
Sunday - Final RoundMartine Pow won the Ladies' British Open Mid - Amateur Stroke Play Championship at Nairn with a 3 round total of 220.
Pow lead the event from start to finish posting 72 and 75 in the first two rounds which were contested in difficult conditions then sealing the win with a solid final round 73.
The new Ladies' British Open Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Champion will now be exempt through to final qualifying of the 2006 Weetabix Women's British Open.
The 2004 Champion, Jo Nicholson (Wrexham) finished in second place 8 shots behind pow, while Fiona Lockhart (St. Regulus) finished in third place with 231.
Cara Gruber beat Australian Bronwyn Lane into fourth place with an impressive final round of 76.
