England win the 2006 Home International Matches
Day 3 Singles - FINAL RESULTEngland won the 2006 Home International Matches at Frilford Heath after winning each of their 3 Matches.
In the final afternoon's singles England proved too strong for Wales as they eventually triumphed by 5 games to 1 and take the match by a 6 - 3 margin.
In today's other match Ireland beat Scotland to clinch second place leaving Wales in 3rd and Scotland in fourth.
Next year's Matches will be played at Dunbar GC (Scotland) from 12th -14th September.
Day 3 Foursomes
Wales won two morning foursomes matches to take a norrow lead into a vital singles session at Frilford Heath. With the International Matches at stake Wales's first and second pairings won to take a 2 point lead before England's pairing of Kerry Smith and Sophie Walker narrowed the lead to 1 with a 4 & 2 victory over Jo Nicolson & Stephanie Evans.
The stage is set for a exciting afternoon session as Scotland hope to avoid finishing in last place as they take on Ireland.
