0800hrs Thursday
The sun is shining as the 3rd and final round commences.
1800hrs Wednesday
The sky remained cloudy all day with a few scattered showers. It was not easy for any of the ladies on the course. Not until the last minute did we find out the leader of the championship.
Susan Dye (Delamere Forest) who finished with 75 is now the leader in the clubhouse. However Fiona de Vries, the overnight leader, is not far away. With a second round score of 77, she is just one shot off the lead.
Remarkably, Susan Dye is not the only person that shot 75. Jane Rees (Hendon) shared the honour. Some of the other ladies who shot under 80 were Chris Utermarck (Germany), Viveca Hoff (Sweden) and Lorna Bennett (Ladybank). Defending champion Alison Murdoch shot 79 to keep herself in touch with the leaders.
The top 40 players have qualified for the final round with the cut coming at 168. Play starts 8am Thursday morning.
0800hrs
After 18 holes in muddy conditions, Fiona de Vries (St Rule) leads by 1 stroke at Hilton Templepatrick. Vicki Thomas (Carmarthen) and Susan Dye (Delamere Forest) both finished with 76s. Last year's champion, Canada’s Alison Murdoch has some ground to make up and finished with 82.
